[64Cu]Cu-TE1PA-9E7.4 is an investigational copper-64 radiolabeled rat anti-CD138 monoclonal antibody radioimmunoconjugate developed for theranostic use in multiple myeloma. The 9E7.4 antibody binds murine syndecan-1, also known as CD138, while the TE1PA chelator stabilizes copper-64 attachment. Copper-64 enables PET imaging through positron emission and may provide targeted radionuclide therapy through beta-minus and Auger-electron emissions. In immunocompetent mouse models of CD138-positive multiple myeloma, the agent produced high and persistent tumor uptake, PET contrast, delayed tumor growth, and prolonged survival with repeated intravenous dosing; hepatic uptake and liver toxicity at higher activities were key preclinical considerations. It has not been established as a clinical human therapeutic product.
